Hi, I’m Tara.
I’m the gal with bold hair, a big heart, and 25 years behind the camera.
I’m outgoing, encouraging, and probably going to hype you up more than you expect during your session. I believe confidence is contagious — and I take that seriously. Whether you’re a high school senior, a CEO, or a family trying to freeze time for just a second, I want you to walk away feeling seen and proud of who you are.
Photography has been my life’s work since 2001. Over the years, I’ve been honored to have my work published and recognized internationally, including awards from Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the Wisconsin Professional Photography Association (WPPA). I’m constantly investing in continued education because I never want to stop growing — and recently, I’ve even begun mentoring other photographers, which has been incredibly rewarding.
But beyond the studio lights and camera gear, I’m a mom.
I have two amazing kids of my own and three incredible bonus kids who together make our beautifully blended family of five. This year, my oldest graduated and completed Navy boot camp — and becoming a military mom has changed me in the best ways. It’s deepened my gratitude. It’s strengthened my perspective. And it’s reminded me just how fleeting each season truly is.
When I’m not photographing, you’ll likely find me:
– Cheering at something my kids are doing
– Listening to a podcast
– Planning something creative
– Laughing loudly
– Or enjoying a quiet moment when the house finally settles
I believe in:
• Celebrating people loudly
• Showing up authentically
• Encouraging confidence
• Treating clients like family
• And preserving the seasons that matter most
In 2026, after a full year of renovation, I opened one of the largest portrait studios in the nation in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. With multiple shooting areas, a full in-house salon, and a space built for celebration, it’s a reflection of how seriously I take the experience I provide.
I limit the number of clients I photograph each year because I want every session to feel intentional, personal, and elevated.
This isn’t just what I do.
It’s who I am.
And I’m honored every time someone trusts me to capture their story.
