I lead with my heart in life, so the same will be done with your portrait experience with me. I have been doing this a hot minute as of now... I started my photography journey in 2002... I'll let you do the math... I'll wait. (Gosh I'm getting old... lol)
I am a proud mother of two beautiful children that keeps me super busy at home and on my toes. I had a big career change in 2010... where I gave up my police badge completely for a camera and haven't looked back since. I put my heart and soul into every client that walks in the door and everyone leaves feeling like a part of the family.
I love brownies, Qdoba, playing volleyball, real estate, listening to podcasts, Amazon, and wine... in no particular order.
My favorite genres to photograph are high school seniors, tweens, families, weddings, beauty and fashion as well as working with adorable fun kiddos of all ages. I love to shoot natural light work, then get down and dirty with edgier lit work in studio and outside.
I am working for my Masters in Photography, being involved in the Professional Portrait Association and well as the Wisconsin Professional Portrait Association and have been awarded in State and International print competitions. I have been named Best of Winnebago 2018-2022, and a few years in a row named in the Top 100 Senior Portrait Photographers in the United States, receiving the highest honor of Icon Status and Influencer across the Globe. I am also started my speaking journey in 2020, teaching other photographers some of my juicy secrets. I am mostly self-taught, but have traveled the country learning from the best in the industry to better my skills and make great photographs every single year. NEVER STOP LEARNING.
Why do I do this whole photography thing?
1st... It's crazy fun creating art with people that appreciate portraiture.
2nd...Everyone deserves to feel special, wanted and beautiful. It's all about the experience I create... I would do this for free (if I didn't have to pay the bills) because I LOVE making people feel amazing and empowered.
3rd...We ALL need to EXIST in portraits. Sometimes, a portrait is the only memory you will have of someone. Make it awesome and make it memorable.
4th... Time escapes us everyday. Let me capture that fleeting moment... so you have it always... to remember that special someone, and yourself at this very special time in your life.
